" I don't want you hurting any more Earth people. That wouldn't be nice."
Meadow's fiery red locks and bubbly personality were used as an asset by her parents, selling the 'picture perfect family' facade they were desperate to portray in order to find good favor with those looking to invest. But as she grew, she quickly turned from asset to liability. While she was never quit sure (and to this day, still is not) what her parents needed all the funding for, there was always something that never settled well with her and once she began to voice her concerns and ask questions, she was sidelined and overlooked by the two people she was closest to. Tutors took the place of parental support, and while it infuriated her, she tried to make the best of it and look at it in the most positive light. She spent a lot of her free time outside of studying in the kitchen, learning the ins and outs of the kitchen, and finding a passion for not only food, but making food for others. Her artistic talents were put to use with decoartion, and it was what inspired her to look into culinary school as her future career.
By the age of 16, Meadow's passport was littered with dozens of stamps from various countries, including Australia, where a majority of her younger years were spent. However, she had never really considered it home, nor did she see Syracuse as home, either. While Simon and Genevieve's traveling kept Meadow away from a large portion of her family, she was able to spend time with her extended family, namely her cousins, from time to time in Boston. Her adoration for her cousin, Bea, viewing her more as an older sister as opposed to just distant relative, was what inspired her to relocate to Boston, permanently, for college. She enrolled at Boston University for a Business degree, while working under a pastry chef in the city in order to smoothly transition to a culinary program, post-graduation.
2014 marked a turning point in Meadow's life, as the pastry chef she had been working under was chosen to take part in a Food Network reality show special. Cupcake Battle Royale was the newest competition show, pitting three chefs (and their sous chefs) against one another in order to win not only a cash prize, but also the accolades of being the top pastry chef. While the competition had been difficult, Meadow had assisted in securing them the design and flavor combination to win the competition, which, in turn, benefited her greatly. The pastry chef had become her mentor, and as such, was grateful enough wit her assistance in winning that she was gifted half of the winnings in order to start her own bakery whenever she was ready to take the plunge. It was the push she needed complete her business degree and in 2017, the doors to Sugar Rush Cupcakery & Co. opened on Charles St.
To say that Meadow's been prospering professionally would be a bit of an understatement. Having recently celebrated one year of keeping Sugar Rush's doors open, she has since secured financial support from a few silent partners, determined to keep year two as prosperous as year one had been. She continues to do a majority of the baking, which causes her to spend more time in the cupcakery/cafe than she would like. It does, however, give her opportunity to daily interact with both new and returning faces into her establishment. Personally? well, that's an entirely different story.
When the White Martians began massacring their Green cousins, M'gann's parents sent her on a rocket to the Vega system to escape the civil war. M'gann learned that another Green Martian refugee, J'onn J'onzz, had escaped the White Martian tyranny, establishing himself on Earth, and came to Earth herself.
While almost correct, this leaves out at least one significant detail, M'gann's true form is that of a White Martian, creatures believed to live only for war and conquest. Questioned on whether or not she was actually a White Martian, M'gann said it was a "long story".
Whatever her true origins might be, M'gann eventually came to Earth along with her parents. Details of this period are sketchy, but it is known that M'gann's parents, along with dozens of other White Martians, were captured by the United States government, many of whom, including M'gann's parents were subsequently executed.[1][2] After separating from her parents, M'gann adopted two new names during her time on this world: "Megan Morse", the English transliteration of her Martian name, and "Miss Martian", her chosen superhero identity."

02. Meadow, like M'gann, is a complete extrovert. Bubbly and outspoken, almost to their own detriment.
03. Meadow spent a majority of her childhood back and forth from the US to Australia, paying homage to the place where M'gann called her homebase after leaving the Teen Titans.
04. Meadow's favorite color is green, and happens to wear a lot of green due to the fact that it compliments her fiery red hair, paying homage to M'gann's preferred skin color, green (over her white martian look.)
05. Meadow's college experience included cheering on BU's cheer team, much like M'gann did when she assumed her identity as Megan Morse and joined the cheerleading squad.
